For a custom part, the material choice follows the required magnetic field or holding force at the working gap, the available space, operating temperature and corrosion exposure. Geometry, magnetization, coating and inspection criteria can change the decision. If a reference part is failing or a drawing is incomplete, send what you have and describe the application; we can identify the missing information needed for quotation.

Custom Magnet Ordering Process

For a custom magnet request, start with the drawing or a sample and the required operating conditions. We review the specification, clarify any missing details and provide a part-specific quotation. Availability of a similar catalog magnet is checked separately; the steps below show how a custom request is handled.

MagnetsTek will review your request and contact you by email if any details need clarification.

If a dimension on our standard magnets reference page appears close to your drawing, tell us whether a substitute is acceptable. We will check the material, grade, tolerance, current availability, price and delivery for the specific part before suggesting an alternative.

MagnetsTek will email a custom quotation for each requested magnet shape, size, material and grade. Each quoted item will have a reference number.Minimum order quantity and lead time for custom magnets depend on the specifications, quantity and production requirements. We will confirm both in the quotation before you place an order.If you have a target delivery date, please include it with your inquiry so we can assess the available options.

If you decide not to proceed after receiving a quotation, no further action is required.

If you wish to order, confirm the specifications, quantity, shipping details and agreed terms with our team. We will provide the proforma invoice and payment instructions after the quotation is agreed. The inquiry form does not place an order or collect payment.

Payment is arranged directly with our team according to the agreed quotation and proforma invoice, generally by bank transfer. We confirm the order details before production begins. All custom magnet sales are final. We cannot cancel or modify a custom magnet order after production has begun.

When your magnets are completed, we will ship them to you using the shipping address provided.

Custom orders are not eligible for return unless the products do not meet the original specifications.
